Nauset Beach runs six miles along the Outer Cape in Orleans, fully exposed to the open Atlantic. It’s one of the most recognized surf breaks on Cape Cod, with real size and consistency compared to the more sheltered bay-side beaches nearby. The cam is run by the Town of Orleans through their public beach webcam system.
About the Break
Nauset is a long, open beach break that holds a wide range of swell directions given its exposure to the Atlantic, and it’s known for picking up size other Cape breaks miss, especially during nor’easters and tropical systems. Sandbars shift with storms, so the best peak on any given day moves around.
