Mori Point is a point break in Pacifica, CA, covered by a free live cam from Chamberlin Nature.

About the Break

A rocky headland at the south end of Pacifica’s beaches, in San Mateo County about 15 minutes south of San Francisco, with a view south over the point rather than a typical sandy beach break. As a point break, it favors surfers who can read a longer, more organized wave and are comfortable sharing a rotation with the rest of the lineup.

Surf Etiquette at Point Breaks

Point breaks are built around long, organized rides peeling down a single line, which means the lineup usually works in a rotation — one surfer takes the wave from the top, and everyone else waits their turn rather than scrambling for every set. “Snaking” (paddling around someone to jump the rotation) is one of the fastest ways to draw real friction in a point break lineup. Watch how the rotation is working before paddling out, and expect a wave a good point break shares to be earned by patience, not positioning.
