The Jacksonville Beach Fishing Pier stretches nearly a quarter mile into the Atlantic, and the sandbars it creates on either side make it one of the more defined peaks in the Jacksonville Beach area. The cam is run by The Jax Pier, the pier’s own site, as part of a multi-angle camera setup covering the pier and surrounding beach.
About the Break
The pier creates a jetty-like effect on the sand, holding sandbars in place better than the open beach nearby. It works on a wide range of swell directions given its exposure to the open Atlantic, and is one of the more consistent, well-known peaks on Florida’s First Coast.
